Décor
Begin by formulating a plan. Analyze your home, room by room. Think about the function of each room. Evaluate the room’s strengths and weaknesses; think about how you and enhance the strengths and compensate for weaknesses. Look at magazines and in showrooms to determine your personal style. Do you want to get rid of everything you currently have or decorate around a few important pieces? Do you prefer a classic look or newer trendy pieces? Does your taste run toward French, English, Asian, or American or French Country? If you can’t decide, you may want to consult a decorator. In addition to applying the principles of feng shui, which we highly recommend, we encourage you to consider the use and interplay of space, color, light, fabric, flow and furniture. Determine the overall look you want for your home and the relationship
of one room to another. Make a list of everything you’ll need to buy and
do. Then it will be time to go shopping. Shopping should always be the
last - not the first - step when redecorating.
