With A Personal Touch
Whether you are able to afford the very best, or you are just starting out and need to be more frugal, you can express your creativity using unusual accessories in unusual places. If you have an art collection that has outgrown your curio cabinet or shelves, think about placing a few objects with a theme on a mantel, atop a dresser on a vanity or nightstand. Heavier art objects make wonderful bookends. Vases and sculptures often look stunnning when placed in strategic spots in a bathroom. Consider a pedestal that holds a vase full of flowers or a beautiful ginger jar at the end of a tub. Think outside the box, and place an interesting object in front of a seldom-used door, as a decorative doorstop. Remember, that whatever you place by the door should be unbreakable and shouldn’t have sharp edges, as it may get knocked over or kicked by accident. Garden pieces brought inside for this purpose often work well. One caution, however — Buddhas and Gods should never used as doorstops, where they could be kicked or damaged, or placed in bathrooms. To do so would be a sign of serious disrespect. Accessories + imagination = individuality in decorating. Stop by our showroom soon to find just the piece that will spark your imagination. |
